Malcolm Eccles Memorial Trophy Inter Club Ten Competition - including Clitheroe BC
Round 1 of the Malcolm
Eccles Memorial Trophy Will be held as part of the Rossendale RC evening
10 on Tuesday August 7th on the Hapton-Huncoat course.
Signing on at 18:30 at the Hapton Inn on the A679 at Hapton.
Round 2 will run as part of the last Evening Ten on August
9th. This has been awarded annually to whichever club wins a competition between North Lancs RC, Rossendale RC and Clitheroe BC based on two Ten mile Time Trials. The times of the fastest five riders from each club on each night are aggregated, then each club's two aggregates are are added. The club with the lowest total wins the trophy.

Wednesday Evening Tens

Note no events on June 6th or June
13th. The June 27th and July 4th events will be held on the A59 starting at the top of Sawley Brow. The A59 course is out and back, starting at the top of Sawley Brow and turning at the Clitheroe roundabout on the A59 and finishing on the descent before the Sawley turn off. Signing-on is in the lay-by on the A59 at the top of Sawley brow.
Anyone over 12 years of age may ride these events. Riders under the age of 18 must provide a completed CTT Parental Consent Form (opens in a new window) which covers a full series of events. Riders who are not members of a Cycling Time Trials affiliated club may ride up to three times under the "Come and Try it" scheme. The entry fee is £3.00. Signing-on is from 18:30-18:45, with the event starting at 19:00. Helmets are compulsory for all our time trials

The 2018 weekly evening 10 mile time
trial series will be held on Wednesday nights from May 2nd until August
All but two events (June 27th and
July 4th) will be held on the Edisford course. This consists of two and a half laps of a quiet country circuit starting in between Bashall Barn and Higher Hodder Bridge heading towards Higher Hodder and turning left at each junction and passing close by Edisford Bridge Hotel. Signing-on is on the car park opposite Roefield Barn on Edisford Road, Clitheroe.
